The role

As Data Analyst you will play an essential role in growing SCOR Digital Solutions products. You will support HealthTech business doing data processing, automation and assist solving business problems.

Reporting to James Lynch, Head of Product and Business Analytics, you will be responsible for the following:

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the client-facing teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client dashboards.
  • Monitor data sources, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance dashboard performance.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to identify opportunities for automation within the dashboard creation process. Develop scripts, workflows, or tools to streamline and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines that facilitate the movement of data from source to storage. Ensure data integrity, availability, and security throughout the pipeline.
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure its accuracy and reliability. Address data quality issues and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights within the insurance industry data. Summarize findings through clear visualizations and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client-facing, developers, business analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to understand data requirements and support data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with members of the Digital Solutions Product Analytics team to contribute to ongoing analytics projects by performing data-related tasks.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development towards Data Scientist and/or Data Engineer skill set. Participate in training programs, workshops, and self-directed learning initiatives to expand your skill set.

Technical/Essential competencies

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Python, R, or similar software. Strong preference to Python users.
  • A healthy knowledge of news & current affairs especially in the topic of technology, data governance, Health Tech, financial sector, insurance, and consumer behaviour.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and their data requirements.
  • Familiar with data science including knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations and best practices, sensitive to PII and PSI data handling.

Personal competencies/Nice to have

  • Enthusiastic.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Chinese.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in data analysis.

Required education/Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
